To begin your practice of karate at the Vancouver Creekside dojo, all you need to do is register at the Creekside Community Centre and pay the drop in fee or semester fee. If you want to take it to the next level become a Canada Shotokan Karate (CSK) member.

Canada Shotokan Karate Membership

Canada Shotokan Karate (CSK) is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching karate as a martial art. CSK was formed in the fall of 1972 by Gene Malec, George Quessy and Norman Welch and is an affiliate of Shotokan Karate of America (SKA). Since its inception, CSK has grown to 21 dojos across the country.

Membership Cost
$100 per year for non-black belts
$75 per year for new members
Membership Benefits
  • Participate in kyu tests
  • Get the opportunity to attend practices with Ohshima Sensei
  • Participate in other CSK activities
