Come for a Trial Class
Classes take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:15pm at the Creekside Community Centre.
You are welcome to join us for a trial class and experience a Shotokan Karate practice for yourself.
Beginners can start practicing karate practice at any age and you are never too old to start. All you need to do is come to your first practice.
Why Practice Shotokan Karate?
- Learn self-defence
- Increase your stamina, speed and coordination
- Stay physically and mentally fit
- Learn and practice self-discipline
- Develop composure and self-confidence
What do I need to bring?
Members who practice regularly wear a white karate uniform. However, if this is your first time and you are just trying it out, wear comfortable exercise clothing that is easy to move in, such as a t-shirt and shorts or yoga pants. Make sure to remove pieces of jewelry to avoid injury. We all practice barefoot.
"The ultimate aim of karate lies not in victory or defeat, but in the perfection of the characters of its participants."
